The earliest record of a Sumerian creation myth, called The Eridu Genesis by historian Thorkild Jacobsen,[1] is found on a single fragmentary tablet excavated and dated to around 1600 BC.
During the Old Kingdom (2886 BC – 2181 BC), pyramid texts could be found in the pyramids.
